CHRIAS (Christiana Institute for Advanced Surgery) will be presenting the Bariatric Summit 2016: Cradle to Cure in corroboration with Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. The summit will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the John H. Ammon Medical Education Center on the Christiana Hospital Campus in Newark, Delaware.
This conference will offer insights to effective management of obese patients and will look closely at a variety of topics including weight loss medications and the management of the post-bariatric surgery patient, especially post-surgical hypoglycemia.
United Medical ACO providers, Michael Peters, Jr., MD, FACS, FASMBS and Caitlin A. Halbert, DO, MS, will be presenting at the summit. Dr. Caitlin Halbert, a General Surgeon at CHRIAS with interest in Bariatric and Foregut surgery, will be presenting New Technologies in Bariatrics in the afternoon. Dr. Michael Peters, Jr., Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery for Christiana Care Health System and Program Chair for the summit, will be closing out the summit’s presentations with What’s Changed, What Can Be Changed.
